Popular Bay Area Indian chain Mylapore Express opens its first Atlanta-area location in Duluth.
Mylapore Express, a fast-casual Indian restaurant chain based in the San Francisco Bay Area, has expanded to metro Atlanta with a new location in Duluth. The restaurant opened its doors on Monday at 3455 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, offering a menu of South Indian vegetarian dishes.
The chain is known for its dosas, uttapams, and thalis, drawing from the culinary traditions of the Mylapore neighborhood in Chennai, India. The Duluth outlet is the company's first location outside California, where it operates seven restaurants across the Bay Area.
Owner Rajesh Kumar said the decision to expand to Georgia was driven by the growing Indian American population in the Atlanta suburbs. The Duluth area has a significant South Asian community, with numerous Indian grocery stores and restaurants nearby.
The restaurant seats about 40 guests and offers both dine-in and takeout services. Operating hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, with a lunch buffet available on weekends.
