The Conservative Party received just over £1 million from South Asian donors, the largest share among political parties. Property developer Kamal Pankhania contributed £250,000, the biggest single donation in that group.

Labour attracted £644,000 from the community, including a contribution from Harish Sodha. The figures reflect a deliberate diversification of political giving rather than a single-party allegiance.

Donations spanned multiple parties, with smaller sums going to the Liberal Democrats and other groups. The pattern suggests donors are seeking influence across the political spectrum as policy debates on trade, immigration, and business regulation intensify.

Observers note the shift marks a maturing of the diaspora's political engagement, moving beyond symbolic support to targeted financial backing of candidates and causes aligned with commercial interests.
