IAAC Unveils Tracker for Anti-Indian Hate Incidents

The Indian American Awareness Council (IAAC) has launched the Stop Indian Hate Tracker, a comprehensive database that records incidents of anti-Indian hostility across the United States. The initiative aims to move beyond isolated moments of outrage and instead build a sustained record of bias, discrimination, and violence targeting the Indian diaspora.

Alongside the tracker, IAAC introduced the Indian Hate Network, a research project that maps the connections between individuals, groups, and online platforms that spread anti-Indian narratives. The council also published Know Your Rights guides, offering practical legal and safety information for community members facing harassment or discrimination.

A new Substack analysis series will provide regular breakdowns of emerging trends and rhetoric, helping the public and policymakers understand how anti-Indian sentiment evolves. IAAC officials said the tools are designed to support victims over the long term, not just respond to viral incidents.

The launch reflects a broader strategy to institutionalize protections for Indian Americans, who have seen a rise in hate incidents in recent years. By documenting patterns and providing accessible resources, IAAC hopes to empower communities and inform advocacy efforts at local and national levels.
