IAAC Unveils Tracker for Anti-Indian Hate Incidents

The Indian American Awareness Council (IAAC) has launched a public tracker to document anti-Indian hate incidents across the United States. The Stop Indian Hate Tracker records individual cases, identifies patterns, and analyzes the narratives behind them, aiming to provide a clearer picture of the problem.

Alongside the tracker, IAAC introduced the Indian Hate Network research project, which maps connections among groups and individuals spreading anti-Indian rhetoric. The council also published Know Your Rights guides and a Substack analysis series to help community members understand their legal protections and stay informed.

The initiative marks a shift in approach, moving from responding to temporary outrage toward building lasting support for victims and addressing the institutional factors that allow anti-Indian hostility to persist. IAAC said the tools are designed to serve both affected individuals and researchers seeking data.

The tracker is now live on the IAAC website, with updates planned as new incidents are reported and verified.
