Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor in New Delhi on Tuesday to press for a faster and simpler H-1B visa process, according to officials familiar with the meeting.

Reddy formally requested the ambassador to consider measures that would reduce processing times and bureaucratic hurdles for skilled Indian professionals, a key constituency for the southern state's technology sector.

The chief minister highlighted that Telangana, particularly Hyderabad, is a major hub for IT and engineering talent, and smoother visa pathways would benefit both Indian workers and American companies relying on their expertise.

The meeting comes amid ongoing discussions between the two countries on mobility and talent exchange, with the H-1B program a focal point for Indian professionals seeking work in the United States.
