NYC Residents: 1,000 Discounted US Open Tickets Announced

The tickets, priced at $100 each, cover Main Draw matches from Aug. 30 to Sept. 8 and include seats in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Louis Armstrong Stadium, and grounds passes. Each resident can buy up to two tickets.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani framed the offer as part of a broader push to make major sporting events accessible. "This summer, we have shown again and again that sports belong to the people," he said, citing the World Cup and track and field championships as examples.

USTA CEO Craig Tiley noted the organization's existing free Fan Week and eight days of free grounds admission. "Access to tennis will always be our priority," he said, adding that the offer reinforces the USTA's commitment to New Yorkers.

The discount comes as regular grounds tickets rose from $60 to $65 this year, and some secondary-market tickets have been reselling for hundreds of dollars. The US Open drew nearly 1.2 million attendees in 2025 and generates an estimated $1.2 billion in economic impact annually.
