Two new tools target Indian professionals directly. The Opportunity Card allows job hunting on a points-based system, while the EU Blue Card offers a streamlined route to permanent residency. Integration courses are also being offered to ease the transition.

The push comes as the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) gains ground in eastern states and in national polls, signaling growing resistance to non-EU migration. Despite the political heat, German authorities are pressing ahead with recruitment.

Indian workers are increasingly choosing Germany over the UK as opportunities within the European Union expand. The shift reflects a broader realignment in migration patterns across Europe.
