IIT Bombay to Open First US Campus in New York by 2027

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay announced plans to open its first campus in the United States at the State University of New York College at Old Westbury in New York. The campus is expected to begin operations by 2027.

The new facility will offer undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering, technology, and other fields. IIT Bombay will collaborate with SUNY Old Westbury on curriculum development and faculty exchange.

The initiative aims to strengthen academic ties between India and the United States and provide Indian students with greater access to U.S. education. It also marks a significant expansion of IIT Bombay's global footprint.
