Democratic Party Endorses Amish Shah, Pia Dandiya for US House Seats

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has added Amish Shah and Pia Dandiya to its Red to Blue program, a move that signals strong institutional support for their campaigns in competitive districts.

Shah, a former Arizona state representative, is running in Arizona's 1st Congressional District, while Dandiya, a former Capitol Hill staffer, is seeking a seat in California's 45th District. Both are aiming to unseat Republican incumbents in areas that have shown increasing competitiveness in recent cycles.

Red to Blue provides endorsed candidates with financial assistance, strategic guidance, and access to the party's organizing infrastructure. The program is a key part of the DCCC's broader effort to flip the 218 seats needed to reclaim the House majority in the 2024 elections.

The endorsements come as the party looks to leverage the appeal of Indian-American candidates in districts with growing South Asian populations. Shah and Dandiya join a list of over 80 candidates nationwide who have received the committee's backing this cycle.
