Illinois Tech Gets UGC Nod for Mumbai Campus Launch

The Illinois Institute of Technology has received the University Grants Commission's Letter of Approval to establish a campus in Mumbai, making it the first United States university authorized to offer degrees in India.

The approval allows Illinois Tech to offer undergraduate and graduate programs at its Mumbai campus, with courses expected to begin in the coming academic year.

The university plans to offer programs in engineering, computer science, and business, among other fields, at the new campus.
