Melody Brahma Music Concert Held

The event took place at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Saturday evening. The concert featured a mix of traditional Indian classical compositions and contemporary pieces.

Performers included sitar player Ravi Shankar and tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain, who have collaborated on multiple projects in the past. The duo played for over two hours, with a brief intermission.

The audience, estimated at around 1,200 people, gave a standing ovation at the end of the performance. Many attendees were members of the Indian diaspora, but the concert also attracted classical music enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds.

Organizers said the concert was part of a series aimed at promoting Indian classical music in the United States. The next event in the series is scheduled for March next year.
