Before leading British Future, Katwala worked as a journalist and served as general secretary of the Fabian Society, a centre-left think tank. He has written extensively on multiculturalism and national identity in Britain.
The four-year term begins immediately. The National Lottery Community Fund is one of the largest community funders in the UK, distributing money raised by players of the National Lottery.
