AIA SWADES 2026: San Jose Free India Day Parade & Festival Guide

The free event at Plaza de Cesar Chavez will run from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the Multinational Parade stepping off at 4 p.m. The Day & Night Mela will feature cultural performances, food stalls, music, art, and a marketplace spread across the downtown plaza.

Taapsee Pannu, a prominent Bollywood actress, will serve as the Honorable Guest and Grand Marshal. She will lead the parade and interact with attendees throughout the day.

San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and Dr. Srikar Reddy, the Consul General of India in San Francisco, will attend as Chief Guests. Their presence underscores the strong bilateral relationship between the two countries and highlights the contributions of the South Asian community in Silicon Valley.
