Travelers can show their digital boarding pass on a smartphone along with their passport at immigration. The rest of the process, including check-in, security, and immigration clearance, remains unchanged.
The move is intended to cut manual stamping, reduce delays for passengers, and lower the risk of scanning errors at immigration counters.
Despite the new rule, passengers are advised to carry a printed copy of their boarding pass. Airlines and flight staff may still request a paper version for verification purposes.
