Kerala Community Hosts Grand Onam 2026 Harvest Celebration

The event will take place at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Illinois, featuring traditional dances, a feast, and cultural performances. Organizers expect over 2,000 attendees from across the Midwest.

The celebration will include a grand sadya, a multi-course vegetarian meal served on banana leaves, prepared by chefs from Kerala. Cultural programs will showcase Kathakali, Thiruvathira, and folk songs.

Tickets are priced at $50 for adults and $25 for children, with early bird discounts available until August 15. Proceeds will support community initiatives and disaster relief efforts in Kerala.

The association has invited local dignitaries and community leaders to participate. Volunteers are being recruited for event coordination and logistics.
