The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody after the attack at the family home. Authorities say the couple's son was shot and managed to escape to a neighbor's house for help, where he reported the shooting.

When police arrived, they found Sheetal Wrzesien dead inside the residence. Wrzesien, who held a leadership role at Google, was pronounced dead at the scene. The son was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The husband was arrested and later charged with felony murder. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed a possible motive. The case has drawn attention to domestic violence issues within the Indian-American community, where such incidents are often underreported.

Wrzesien's colleagues and friends have expressed shock and grief, remembering her as a dedicated professional and a warm person. Google has not yet issued a public statement, but internal communications are said to have informed employees of her passing.
