Priyanka Chopra, Russell Crowe Star in Sci-Fi Thriller Bluefly

The film follows a grieving UN translator who is drawn into a covert mission to recover a downed aircraft that officially does not exist. As a Special Operations team travels upriver through militia-controlled territory in the Congo, they realize the closer they get to the aircraft, the more they were never supposed to bring it back.

David Frigerio, William Eubank, and Carlyle Eubank wrote the screenplay. Producers include Michael Jefferson, David Frigerio, Deborah Glover, Arianne Fraser, and Delphine Perrier, with an executive producer team that includes Lia Buman, Guy Davies, and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.

Highland Film Group holds worldwide rights and will launch sales at the Toronto International Film Festival market. Principal photography is expected to begin later this year.

Crowe, an Oscar winner for Gladiator, recently appeared in Nuremberg and has upcoming projects including Netflix's Unabomber and the Highlander reboot. Chopra Jonas recently starred in Prime Video's The Bluff and is set to headline SS Rajamouli's Varanasi, scheduled for an April 2027 release.
