Indian professionals are increasingly choosing Europe as a destination for work and settlement, according to recent data. Births far outnumber deaths at Indian missions in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Italy, reflecting the growing number of young Indian families establishing roots in those countries.

Indian information technology firms are also expanding their presence in Europe by acquiring local companies, including Nagarro and units of Randstad. This move is part of a strategy to diversify beyond the traditional focus on the United States market.

The European Union has introduced measures to attract skilled workers from outside the bloc. The Single Permit Directive and the EU Talent Pool are designed to simplify and expedite the entry process for qualified professionals.

Poland has emerged as a popular entry point, offering a work-permit route that provides low-cost access to EU residency and a pathway to long-term settlement. This has made the country an attractive option for Indian professionals seeking opportunities in Europe.
