Sri Sanatan Dham temple in San Marcos, Texas, with flags and people

The temple, located in a former retail space, offers daily prayers, weekly meditation sessions, and festivals such as Diwali and Holi. It also hosts language classes in Hindi and Sanskrit for children of the diaspora.

Founding members, many of whom teach at Texas State University, pooled resources to renovate the facility. The temple's name, Sri Sanatan Dham, reflects the eternal dharma, and its doors are open to all seeking spiritual connection.

The community has grown to over 200 families, with volunteers organizing food drives and cultural workshops. Plans are underway to expand the building to accommodate a larger hall for weddings and community gatherings.

Local officials have praised the initiative for fostering cross-cultural understanding, and the temple has become a point of pride for the growing Indian population in Central Texas.
