Muthamizh Vizha Festival Set for October 2026

Organizers announced the festival's dates for October 2026, marking the first time the event will be held in that month. The festival, which has run annually for over a decade, typically occurs in late summer or early fall.

The event will feature classical dance performances, music concerts, and literary discussions, along with workshops on traditional crafts and cooking. Organizers expect participation from Tamil communities across the United States, with performers traveling from India and other countries.

A key addition for 2026 will be a youth-focused segment, including spoken word competitions and a digital storytelling showcase. This aims to engage younger generations of the diaspora, according to the organizing committee.

Venue details and the full schedule are expected to be released in early 2026. Registration for performers and vendors will open six months before the festival.

The festival is organized by a volunteer group dedicated to preserving and promoting Tamil heritage. Past editions have drawn thousands of attendees, and organizers hope to exceed that number in 2026.
