IAGB Brings Henna and Bollywood to AAPI Night at Gillette Stadium

The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) participated in AAPI Night 2026 at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, offering cultural experiences to thousands of fans during pre-game festivities. The IAGB Henna/Mehendi booth drew more than 75 attendees, who received henna tattoos from the IAGB team throughout the Fan Zone hours.

A Bollywood group dance performance, choreographed by Chhavi Mishra, was a major highlight. The high-energy showcase blended Bhangra, Garba, and Bollywood storytelling, and was widely recognized as one of the best Bollywood showcases of the night. Performers included Chhavi Mishra, Poornima Natkarni, Nilam Adhikari, Sowmya Sampige, Bhavna Dedhia, Aparna Karpe, Priya Vedantham, Smita Kumar, Adhi Ramesh, and Mohini Tripathi.

IAGB President Nilesh Agrawal and Vice President Deepak Garg received on-field recognition during the pre-game ceremony, representing the Indian American community. IAGB also thanked Juliane Mahoney, Multicultural Engagement Senior Specialist for the New England Revolution, for her partnership and coordination.

The event blended culture, sports, and community pride, celebrating AAPI heritage at Gillette Stadium.
