The Indian-American Community Association announced the results of its election for the new executive committee, held on Saturday at the community center. Members voted for seven positions, including president, vice president, and treasurer.

Ravi Patel was elected president, receiving 342 votes out of 600 cast. He defeated incumbent Priya Sharma, who secured 258 votes. Patel, a local business owner, previously served as vice president for two years.

Other elected officers include Anjali Mehta as vice president, Vikram Singh as treasurer, and Neha Gupta as secretary. The new committee also includes two at-large members, Deepak Joshi and Kavita Reddy.

The election was conducted by secret ballot, with oversight from an independent election commission. Turnout was 65 percent of eligible voters, a slight increase from the previous election.

The new executive committee will begin its two-year term on January 1. Patel stated that his priorities include expanding youth programs and increasing community engagement through cultural events.
