CEO Fireside Chat Explores Houston's Commercial Space Future

Cirtain highlighted the recent mission involving Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, which drew scientific interest and public engagement across India. He said Axiom chose Houston as its headquarters because the city remains the world's center for human space exploration, citing NASA's Johnson Space Center, the Houston Spaceport, and a deep engineering talent pool.

The discussion also touched on emerging opportunities in space-based computing and research, including processing data in orbit for Earth observation, communications, and climate science. Cirtain noted that microgravity research could lead to breakthroughs in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia pointed to the Port of Houston and the Houston Spaceport as critical infrastructure for the region's economic future. Consul General of India in Houston D.C. Manjunath highlighted growing U.S.-India cooperation in commercial space.

Cirtain closed by outlining Axiom's long-term vision of expanding commercial access to space and advancing research and computing, saying the company is pioneering an orbital settlement to benefit life on Earth.
