The India Association of Greater Boston wrapped up May with four programs it organized directly and two more where it served as a partner organization, a level of activity the group called one of its most engaging in recent years.
The association's own events included a winter clothing drive, a senior expo and cultural exchange, a textile showcase called Discover India Pehnawa Weaves of India, and a 5K walk.
As a partner, IAGB contributed to AAPI Heritage Night with the New England Revolution and the GBH AANHPI Heritage Celebration, expanding its reach across New England.
The month's schedule reflected the group's focus on service, cultural connection, and multigenerational engagement, according to the association.
IAGB, one of the oldest Indian organizations in the region, said it plans to build on the momentum with more community programs in the coming months.
