This year's cohort marks the highest number of international fellowships earned by Ashoka students in a single cycle. The previous record was set in 2023, when 12 students received scholarships.
University officials credited the institution's liberal arts curriculum and dedicated fellowship advising office for the achievement. The office provides mentorship and application support to students throughout the selection process.
The scholars will pursue fields ranging from public policy and law to engineering and the humanities. Many plan to return to India after their studies to work in academia, government, or social enterprises.
Ashoka University, located in Sonipat, Haryana, has seen a steady rise in international placements over the past five years. The university currently enrolls over 3,000 students across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
