Meherish, an Indian-origin entrepreneur, built Raju Omlet from a single outlet into a beloved homegrown brand known for its egg-based dishes. The restaurant group operates multiple locations across the United Arab Emirates.

His death prompted an outpouring of tributes from the Dubai food and business community, who remembered him as a pioneer in the city's casual dining scene. Colleagues cited his hands-on approach and commitment to quality.

Meherish was born in India and moved to Dubai decades ago, where he identified a gap in the market for affordable, high-protein meals. He opened the first Raju Omlet in 2005, focusing on eggs as the core ingredient.

The chain expanded steadily, earning a loyal customer base among workers, families, and tourists. Meherish remained actively involved in operations until his hospitalization.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced. The company said it would continue operating under existing management.
