Deshmukh, 34, will also serve three years of probation after his release, according to court records. The charges stem from incidents at a Cincinnati-area hospital where he worked as a resident physician.

Prosecutors said Deshmukh used a hidden camera to record women using staff restrooms between 2023 and 2024. The recordings were discovered when a colleague noticed a suspicious device and alerted hospital security.

In May 2026, Deshmukh pleaded guilty to seven counts of voyeurism and one count of attempted tampering with evidence. Investigators found he had attempted to destroy the memory card containing the videos before his arrest.

The judge ordered Deshmukh to surrender his medical license and register as a sex offender. His attorney said Deshmukh expressed remorse and accepted responsibility for his actions.

The hospital where Deshmukh worked said it cooperated fully with the investigation and has since enhanced security measures in staff restrooms.
