Indian American Teen Wins Miss Georgia USA Title for First Time

Kiran Reddy, an 18-year-old from Alpharetta, Georgia, clinched the Miss Georgia Teen USA crown on June 30, 2026, at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Her win marks a milestone for Indian Americans in the state's pageant history.

Reddy, a freshman at the University of Georgia, competed against 45 other contestants in the two-day event. The competition included interviews, an evening gown segment, and an on-stage question, where Reddy spoke about her platform, 'Empowering Youth Through STEM Education.'

Her victory comes after years of preparation. Reddy began competing in pageants at age 14, inspired by her mother, a former Miss India Georgia titleholder. She credited her family's support and her Indian heritage for grounding her throughout the process.

As Miss Georgia Teen USA, Reddy will represent the state at the Miss Teen USA pageant in November. She also plans to continue her advocacy for STEM programs in underserved schools across Georgia, a cause she has championed since high school.

Reddy's win has sparked celebrations within the Indian American community, with many hailing it as a step toward greater representation in beauty pageants. She is the first Indian American to hold the title in the pageant's 40-year history.
