Indian American Teen Wins Miss Georgia USA Title for First Time

Reddy, a high school junior from Alpharetta, competed against 40 other contestants at the state pageant held in Atlanta on June 30. She impressed judges with her poise, public speaking, and advocacy for mental health awareness among teens.

Her win marks a milestone for the Indian American community in Georgia, which has grown significantly over the past decade. Reddy, who is of Telugu descent, said she hopes her victory inspires other young Indian Americans to pursue their dreams.

As Miss Georgia Teen USA, Reddy will represent the state at the Miss Teen USA competition in November. She plans to use her platform to promote STEM education for girls, a cause she has championed since middle school.

Reddy, who has been competing in pageants since age 14, credited her parents and her local community for their support. She is the first Indian American to hold the title in the pageant's 40-year history.
