A float created by three Indian-American organizations won the Best Float Award in the non-commercial category at the City of Fremont's 2026 Fourth of July Parade. The Festival of Globe, the Federation of Indo-Americans of Northern California, and the Fremont Hindu Temple & Cultural Center jointly presented the float.

The parade, held annually on July 4, draws thousands of spectators and features entries from community groups, businesses, and local organizations. The non-commercial category recognizes floats that are not sponsored by for-profit entities.

Organizers said the float highlighted Indian cultural heritage and community spirit. The award marks a notable achievement for the Indian-American community in Fremont, which has a significant South Asian population.

The Fremont Hindu Temple & Cultural Center has been involved in previous parade entries, but this is the first time a collaborative effort among the three groups has earned top honors.
