Indian PhD Student Naman Agrawal Wins Cornell Teaching Award

Agrawal, who is from India, was selected for his outstanding contributions as a teaching assistant in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior. His teaching evaluations and dedication to student learning were cited as key factors in his selection.

The Cornelia Ye Award, named after a former Cornell international student advisor, is given annually to teaching assistants who demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to supporting undergraduate education. Recipients are chosen for their ability to engage students and foster an inclusive learning environment.

Agrawal's research focuses on the neural mechanisms underlying behavior, and he has been a teaching assistant for several undergraduate courses in neurobiology. His award will be formally presented at a ceremony later this year.
