Bengaluru Man Arrested After Obscene Gesture at Woman During Flipkart Delivery

Vijay Mallikarjun Kamat, a 22-year-old delivery executive, was taken into custody after the incident, which occurred when he went to deliver a package to the woman's apartment. Police said Kamat forced his way inside and made an obscene gesture before exposing himself.

The woman, who was alone at the time, reported the incident to the police, leading to Kamat's arrest. He was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including those related to obscenity and criminal trespass.

The arrest comes amid growing concerns about the safety of customers during home deliveries, with police urging e-commerce companies to verify the backgrounds of their delivery personnel. Flipkart has not yet issued a statement on the matter.

Kamat is currently in police custody and is expected to be produced before a court. Further investigation is underway.
