The event, organized by the local Indian community, will take over the Ohio State Fairgrounds with a day-long program starting at 10 a.m. The 'Bharat Showcase' will recreate an Indian wedding, complete with traditional music, dance, and rituals from various regions, offering a glimpse into the country's diverse matrimonial customs.

Admission is free for all attendees, but the festival's Cultural Ambassador program specifically waives entry fees for non-Indian visitors, aiming to encourage cross-cultural participation. Organizers say the initiative has helped boost attendance from outside the community in previous years.

Beyond the showcase, the festival will feature more than 50 food stalls serving regional Indian cuisine, a bazaar with handicrafts and clothing, and live performances by artists from across the diaspora. Children's activities, including mehndi (henna) application and traditional games, will run throughout the day.

The festival typically draws thousands of visitors from across Ohio and neighboring states. Parking is available on-site for $10, and shuttle services will run from nearby lots. Organizers recommend arriving early, as the event has sold out in past years.

Proceeds from the festival support local cultural and educational initiatives, including scholarships for students of Indian heritage. The event is organized by the Columbus Indian Community Association, a nonprofit that has hosted the festival since its inception.
